Plot

A robbery at a savings-and-loan institution reveals Leon Poole, a timid bank teller, as the unwitting accomplice through a police wiretap. During his apprehension, detective Sam Wagner tragically shoots Poole's young wife, setting off a chain of events. At the trial, consumed by grief and anger, Poole vows to retaliate against Wagner. As he orchestrates his revenge, Poole manages to escape from custody, setting the stage for a tense confrontation fueled by betrayal and the pursuit of justice.
