Plot

Judy Wilson (Gale Storm) feels overlooked as her parents dedicate their time to jobs at defense plants. In her loneliness, she finds romance with Danny Chester (Jackie Cooper), who joins the Navy and heads to San Diego for training. Eager for adventure, she agrees to a road trip with friends Herb (Neyle Morrow), Opal (Evelyn Eaton), and Jerry (Jimmy Zahner), unaware that the car they’re driving is stolen.
