Plot
Four interconnected stories illuminate the struggles of Cuban citizens before the revolution. In Havana, Maria's pride is shattered when her lover learns the truth about her job. Meanwhile, Pedro, a seasoned farmer, faces the harsh reality that his cherished land is being sold off to an American corporation. A young student witnesses his peers being violently suppressed by police as they promote Castro's cause.
