Sergio Corrieri (March 3, 1939 – February 29, 2008) was a distinguished Cuban actor renowned for his contributions to the film industry and cultural landscape of Cuba. He achieved critical acclaim when he secured the Best Actor award at the 8th Moscow International Film Festival for his compelling performance in "The Man from Maisinicu."

Corrieri was a foundational figure at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), playing a pivotal role since its inception in 1959. His influence extended beyond cinema; he was an active member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba starting in 1980, later becoming the head of culture within the committee in 1987. His political career also included serving as a deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power beginning in 1976, and he was a member of the Council of State from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to his political endeavors, Corrieri was the president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) from 1990 until his passing. His legacy as an actor and cultural advocate remains significant, illustrating his deep commitment to both the arts and the Cuban society.
