The Swindlers (1959)
Plot
After losing his mining job in Hannover, Mario plans to return to Italy. However, his fate changes when Totonno swipes his passport to evade the police and subsequently offers him a position as a "magliaro" (cloth seller). Intrigued, Mario opts to accompany Totonno to Hamburg. There, they attempt to sell Mayer's cloth but quickly find themselves at odds with a hostile Polish gang. Amidst the chaos, Mario also finds himself smitten with Paula Mayer, complicating their precarious situation even further.
