Plot
Stanley Windrush’s university studies come to an abrupt halt when he’s drafted near the war's conclusion. Though he lacks the qualities of a leader, he forms a clever alliance with Private Percival Cox, a master of navigating the British Army’s chaotic landscape. Meanwhile, Stanley's brigadier uncle at the War Office appears to have ulterior motives, drawing both men into covert operations behind enemy lines.
