In "Major Payne," Major Benson Winifred Payne faces life after the Marines as he is honorably discharged. A ruthless soldier accustomed to combat, he struggles to adapt to civilian life in a world where wars are not waged on traditional fronts. To help him find purpose, his commanding officer assigns him to lead a struggling JROTC program at a nearby school, filled with misfit cadets lacking motivation. As Payne attempts to instill discipline and determination in this unlikely group, he discovers that leadership takes on a different meaning outside the battlefield.
