Plot

Christopher Gill, a deranged killer, cleverly adopts disguises to ensnare and strangle his unsuspecting victims. Meanwhile, Moe Brummel, a beleaguered detective in New York City, begins receiving unsettling phone calls from the murderer, leading to an unusual rapport. Kate Palmer, a trendy tour guide, inadvertently spots the killer exiting her deceased neighbor's apartment and becomes intrigued by Moe. Amidst this chaos, Moe's overbearing mother yearns for him to follow in his brother's footsteps and become a successful Jewish doctor, adding familial pressure to his already complicated life.
