Plot
Reiko, a war widow, dedicates herself to operating a grocery store in her late husband's family home. As time passes, a new supermarket emerges, jeopardizing her livelihood. Faced with mounting pressure, Reiko's in-laws contemplate transforming their quaint shop into a larger supermarket, which would undermine her efforts and disrupt the community's fabric. Struggling to protect her business and the legacy of her husband, Reiko grapples with familial loyalty and the encroaching modernity that threatens her way of life.
