Plot
Set in the 1950s, Laurent Chevalier, a 15-year-old navigating the tumultuous waters of adolescence, embarks on a journey of self-discovery in France. His escapades include an awkward first sexual encounter with a prostitute and a narrow escape from unwanted advances from a priest. However, after contracting scarlet fever, Laurent finds himself in a sanatorium due to a newly developed heart murmur. There, he is accompanied by his overbearing and unfaithful mother, adding another layer of complexity to his coming-of-age experience.
