On the remote islet of Bannec in Brittany, four fishermen establish a temporary camp to gather valuable seaweed over a three-month period. Their goal is to properly process the seaweed ash, which can yield substantial profits. They set fire to large heaps of the harvested seaweed, but their operation faces unexpected challenges when one of the fishermen suffers from an infected thumb. As tensions rise, the men must navigate both their burgeoning conflict and the harsh realities of their isolated existence.
