Plot

Placebo centers around eight young men and women in their early to mid-twenties who participate in a clinical trial for insomnia. Over the course of three days, each participant is offered one thousand dollars per day as they are placed in a remote setting. After taking the experimental pill, they spend a night in a quarantined facility, setting the stage for the unfolding events of the study.
