Pool (2009)

Plot

Set over six days, five individuals converge by a shimmering pool in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Kyoko has been living there for four years, managing a guest house while leaving her mother and daughter, Sayo, back in Japan. As Sayo arrives in Thailand just before her university graduation, she is filled with conflicting emotions about her mother. Throughout her stay, encounters with the locals and the vibrant culture lead Sayo to reevaluate her feelings, ultimately transforming her relationship with Kyoko and bridging the emotional distance between them.
