Plot

Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 20th-century Spanish carnival, exiled republican Antonio Galvan arrives from Paris to reconnect with his friend, Capt. Don Pasqual 'Pasqualito' Costelar. Drawn to the enigmatic Concha Perez, he arranges to meet her, unaware of the turmoil she has caused in his friend's life. Pasqualito reveals his tumultuous obsession with the alluring Concha and her manipulative mother, urging Antonio to steer clear of her. Despite the warning, Antonio finds himself irresistibly entranced, leading to a rift in their longstanding friendship as seduction ensnares him in Concha's web.
