Plot

Sara, Ester, and Miriam are three sisters who have spent their entire lives in the farmhouse where their father and grandmother raised them. Deeply religious, their family holds a strong devotion to God, strictly adhering to the teachings and punishments outlined in the Scriptures, especially the Old Testament. They shun any intermediaries, relying solely on their grandmother, Paolina, to guide them in their faith. However, as they enter adolescence, they begin to question their beliefs and grapple with newfound desires. When tragedy befalls their family and their young cousin Primo arrives at the farmhouse, the sisters find their lives irrevocably transformed.
