Plot
Cam Calloway dreams of creating a sanctuary for migratory geese in New England's lush forests. Despite his relentless efforts to purchase a nearby lake for this purpose, he faces constant setbacks. Struggling to fund his vision, Cam and his son turn to trapping, only to be crushed by a plummeting fur market. After using their meager earnings for a down payment, they lose their home and relocate to the lake, where friends help them build a cabin. When a salesman arrives, aiming to exploit the land for tourism, Cam's anger leads him to take drastic actions against the encroachment.
