You Lucky People! (1955)

Plot

Reservist Tommy Smart, a savvy entrepreneur who struck gold selling army surplus after the war, begins two weeks of training at an army camp alongside his chauffeur. His squad includes bank manager Corporal Jones, whose daughter, Sylvia, dreams of marrying Lieutenant Robson, a National Service officer. Complications arise under the command of Tommy's former foe, Sergeant Thickpenny, and R.S.M. Brittain, leading to a series of humorous parade ground mishaps that test the camaraderie and resilience of the soldiers.
