Plot

A young girl, having slain her duplicitous stepfather, embarks on a perilous journey with a wandering youth to flee the law. Disguised as a boy, they traverse the country by hopping freight trains, navigating conflicts with a band of hobos along the way. Their desperate attempts to evade capture lead them to steal a car, all while aiming for the border to Canada.
