Plot
Twelve-year-old Dre Parker's life takes a turn when his mother relocates them to China for work, uprooting him from his familiar Detroit surroundings. He quickly develops a crush on classmate Mei Ying, but cultural barriers complicate their friendship. Matters worsen when he crosses paths with Cheng, the local bully. Isolated and without allies, Dre seeks guidance from Mr. Han, a maintenance worker with a hidden talent for kung fu. Through their training, Dre learns that true strength lies in composure and wisdom, preparing him for the ultimate showdown against his adversaries.
