An ex-vaudevillian dancer establishes a dance band agency to support local street kids by providing them with jobs. His noble efforts, however, clash with the local gang leader, who is determined to thwart him. Complications arise when the dancer assists a recently released convict by hiring him, only to discover that the ex-con has ulterior motives, aiming to use the agency for extortion. Amidst these challenges, the film features Oscar-nominated songs such as “When There’s a Breeze on Lake Louise” and “A Million Miles From Manhattan,” enriching the narrative with musical flair.
