Plot
Penelope, feeling neglected by her husband, banker James Elcott, decides to take matters into her own hands by robbing his bank while in disguise. Confiding in her psychiatrist, Greg Mannix, who harbors unrequited feelings for her, she finds a temporary ally in him as he offers to return the stolen cash. However, he panics when the police arrive and leaves the money behind. With a growing resolve to confess, Penelope faces disbelief from both James and law enforcement about her dramatic actions. Her quest for truth becomes a battle against skepticism and isolation.
