Plot

Eccentric and defiant, April Burns shares a modest New York City apartment with her boyfriend, far removed from her emotionally detached family. However, upon learning that her mother is battling terminal breast cancer, she decides to host Thanksgiving for her relatives. As her father grapples with the chaos of bringing the family into the city, April, lacking culinary skills, faces a culinary disaster and is forced to seek assistance from a neighbor.
