Basilisk: The Serpent King (2006)
Plot
Two thousand years ago, a Libyan king wielded a basilisk, a fearsome serpent-dragon that turned people to stone, ultimately meeting the same fate when struck by a golden scepter during a solar eclipse. Fast forward to the present, archaeologist Harrison 'Harry' McColl uncovers these relics during an excavation. Ignoring warnings from local tribes, he transports the artifacts to his university museum, where they are displayed coinciding with another eclipse. As the basilisk awakens, Harry and his friends must race against time to find a way to re-petrify the creature before chaos ensues.
