Djoko Rosic

Djoko Rosic, a talented Bulgarian actor of Serbian heritage, was born to a Serbian father and a Bulgarian mother. At the young age of 19 in 1951, he emigrated to Bulgaria due to political circumstances. Pursuing his education, he graduated in 1957 from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, which laid the groundwork for his multifaceted career.

Rosic transitioned into the world of journalism, dedicating 17 years of his life to the Bulgarian National Radio, where he honed his skills in storytelling and communication. His passion for the performing arts led him to make his film debut in 1962, marking the beginning of a prolific acting career. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 110 films, with a significant focus on Bulgarian cinema.

From 1975 onward, Rosic expanded his horizons, taking on roles in productions by both Hungarian and Yugoslav filmmakers, showcasing his versatility and broadening his artistic reach. His contributions to the film industry have made him a notable figure in the cinematic landscape of Eastern Europe, where his performances continue to resonate with audiences.
