Monsieur Papa paints a heartfelt picture of a contemporary family through the eyes of 12-year-old Marius Vallois. Raised in affluence by his devoted mother, Marie Vallois, Marius grapples with the absence of his father, leading him to act out through shoplifting and poor grades. Concerned for her son, Marie seeks a father figure and encounters Robert Pique, an unconventional man with a finance background who now irons clothes for neighbors. Initially hesitant, Robert takes on the role of Marius's father, and while Marius quickly sees through the facade, a genuine connection blossoms between them.
