Plot

Buckley, a cunning journalist, exploits the news for personal gain while covering a medal ceremony in Paris after a supposed kidnapping. Discovering his boss, Stevens, has rekindled a romance with his former lover Dolly, Buckley faces termination when Stevens learns Dolly is with him in Moscow. Desperate to reclaim his job, Buckley teams up with Lefty to fabricate a sensational story about the last Romanoff's assassination. However, their scheme spirals out of control, leading them into the crosshairs of the Commissar, threatening their lives in the process.
