Plot
After the tragic murder of their teenage son during a robbery, a grieving Black couple faces a moral dilemma when the killer is sentenced to 40 years in prison. The murderer’s young son, aged six to eight, becomes a focal point for the mother, who yearns to adopt the boy in a bid for healing and redemption. However, her husband strongly opposes the idea, as does the child’s biological father, complicating an already fraught situation. The film explores themes of loss, forgiveness, and the challenging nature of familial bonds.
