Plot

Set in 1928, Lyovuschka, a Soviet laborer, lands the coveted role of Trotsky in Eisenstein's new film, only to see his aspirations crushed as Trotsky loses Stalin's favor. Forced into exile, he masquerades as a rich baron at a lavish German seaside resort, biding his time for a boat to Hollywood. Amidst the glamour, he sparks a summer romance with the quirky factory owner, Octavia Flambow-Jansen. However, their burgeoning love faces an unexpected challenge: a lurking presence of vampires that threaten to disrupt their idyllic getaway.
