Plot
Based on real events, "Veronica Guerin" follows the courageous investigative journalist as she works for an Irish newspaper. With the illicit drug trade increasingly infiltrating society, Guerin is determined to uncover the truth behind it. She starts by interviewing addicts and, after some persuasion, connects with a wary informant named John Traynor. Traynor eventually guides her to the dangerous John Gilligan, the merciless leader of the drug ring. As Guerin digs deeper, she faces escalating threats from those who want to silence her pursuit of justice.
