Plot

On June 28, 2011, Swedish journalists Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson made a daring move, crossing the border from Somalia into Ethiopia to expose the harsh realities of oil exploitation in the war-torn Ogaden region. Their mission took a dark turn when they were captured and injured by the Ethiopian military just five days later. What began as an investigation morphed into a harrowing tale of survival amid lawlessness and political unrest. After a surreal trial, they faced eleven years in prison alongside other persecuted writers and activists, transforming their narrative into one of resilience against tyranny in Kality prison.
