Plot

A young boy navigates grief and friendship in this heartwarming family drama. Sixteen-year-old Jesse struggles to cope with his father’s tragic death during a wilderness rescue. Relocating to his Uncle Roy's home in Washington's rugged mountains, Jesse discovers a severely injured wolf and nurses it back to health. Despite his uncle’s concerns about the risks, Jesse forms a deep bond with the wolf, teaching it to skijor alongside him. However, ranch owner John Rockwell views the wolf as a menace to his livestock and is intent on eliminating the creature, putting Jesse’s newfound friendship in jeopardy.
