Set in Scotland during 1865, an elderly shepherd and his loyal Skye terrier embark on a journey to Edinburgh. Tragedy strikes when the shepherd succumbs to pneumonia, leaving his devoted dog, Bobby, heartbroken. Unwilling to leave his master’s side, Bobby defies a local caretaker's prohibition against dogs and takes refuge at his owner’s grave in Greyfriars kirkyard. When authorities attempt to remove Bobby for lacking a license, the children of Edinburgh rally alongside the Lord Provost, advocating for the beloved dog’s right to remain with his late owner.
