Plot
Scott, a modern-day computer game designer with a passion for the Civil War, stumbles upon an antique desk that holds a hidden compartment containing a poignant, unmailed letter from a young poet named Lizzie. Moved by her longing for love, he responds, encouraged by his mother’s mystical beliefs. Miraculously, Lizzie receives his message, and their heartfelt correspondence blossoms, complicating Scott's upcoming marriage while offering Lizzie hope amid her tumultuous life during the Civil War.
