He gained prominence through standout performances in movies such as *Used Cars*, *TerrorVision*, *National Lampoon's Class Reunion*, and *Greetings*, where he first collaborated with renowned director Brian De Palma. Their partnership continued with *Hi, Mom*, *Home Movies*, and the cult classic *The Phantom of the Paradise*, where Graham portrayed Beef, a rock star inspired by the flamboyant Alice Cooper.
