Plot
Con artist Tom Turner faces a pivotal decision: serve time in prison or spend a year engaging in honest labor. Opting for the latter, he lands a position in the U.S. Post Office's dead letter office. Seizing the opportunity, Tom begins a heartfelt scheme by responding to letters addressed to God, inadvertently sparking a wave of altruism among his colleagues. However, their newfound benevolence draws the ire of the postmaster general and law enforcement, complicating his mission of goodwill.
