Plot
As war erupts, Annika resides with her parents in Värmland near the Norwegian border. Her cousin Harald, entangled in the black market, must flee to Norway to evade the police. Seeking a new life, Annika relocates to Stockholm and finds work as a waitress. There, she forms a close bond with the carefree Berit, enjoying life amidst the chaos. Annika also falls for Bengt, whom she marries, only to quickly realize he is not the man she thought she knew. The story unfolds against the backdrop of uncertainty and personal discovery.
