Plot

Rancher Steve Holden fights off an ambush by rustlers, mistakenly thinking he has killed young Bud Mathews, who had tried to warn him about the attack. In truth, it was the rustler leader, Cass Barton, who ended Mathews' life. Intent on informing Bud's family of their loss, Holden heads to the boy's hometown, only to stumble upon a sinister plot by a local businessman aiming to drive Mathews' father off his ranch. As Holden navigates this dangerous landscape, he must confront both his guilt and the threats facing the family.
