Plot

A car careens into the ocean at Shinko Harbour, claiming the life of Fukutaro Shirakawa, a prominent local businessman. His second wife, Kumako, emerges unscathed but quickly becomes the prime suspect in his death, especially after it’s revealed he had a 300 million yen insurance policy. As media frenzy labels her a villain, public opinion turns against her. Ritsuko Sahara steps in as Kumako's defense attorney, but their relationship is rocky, filled with disagreements that complicate Kumako's quest for justice amid widespread condemnation.
