Plot

A film crew embarks on a unique journey, starting from scratch in the Paraiba backlands, seeking individuals with compelling stories. Their exploration leads them to São João do Rio Peixe and the Araçás Farm, home to 86 interconnected families. With the help of a young local woman, the predominantly elderly residents share their rich life experiences, steeped in themes of popular Catholicism, familial bonds, and honor. Their poignant narratives reveal a culture teetering on the brink of extinction, showcasing the beauty and fragility of their way of life.
