Ted, a directionless thirty-something, relocates to his father's home after Marty is diagnosed with a terminal illness. To protect his father's dwindling health, which deteriorates with every Boston Red Sox loss, Ted hatches a plan. He teams up with Mariana, Marty’s grief counselor, and a group of friends to orchestrate a fabricated winning streak for the team. As they navigate this elaborate ruse, Ted learns valuable lessons about love, family, and the lengths one will go to for those they care about.
