Plot
This tale follows a Japanese diplomat, often referred to as Japan's Schindler, whose life journey culminates in a remarkable act of courage. He issues over 2,000 visas to Jewish refugees in Kaunas, Lithuania, saving more than 6,000 lives. Driven by a deep love for his homeland, he strives to prevent Japan from getting entangled in an impending global conflict. As he witnesses the desperate struggle of European Jews fleeing the Nazi threat and the advancing German forces, he grapples with the rigid policies of his government, bound by a treaty with Nazi Germany, and his growing moral obligations. From his early days in Manchuria to his pivotal role in Lithuania, his actions define him as a true hero.
