Zbigniew Zamachowski
Zbigniew Zamachowski, born on July 17, 1961, is a prominent Polish actor recognized for his versatile performances in film and theater. He honed his craft at the National Film School in Łódź, graduating from the acting faculty. His professional journey began in 1981, and he gained significant attention in 1989 with a pivotal role in Part Ten of Krzysztof Kieślowski's renowned series, Dekalog. Zamachowski's collaboration with Kieślowski continued, as he took on the lead role of "Karol Karol" in Three Colors: White, part of the celebrated Three Colors trilogy.
Throughout his career, Zamachowski has received numerous accolades, including two Polish Film Awards for his outstanding performances in Robert Gliński's Hi, Tereska (2001) and Andrzej Jakimowski's Zmróż oczy (2004). His filmography also features notable appearances in Kazimierz Kutz's Colonel Kwiatkowski (1996), Jerzy Hoffman's historical epic With Fire and Sword (1999), and Andrzej Wajda's biographical film Walesa: Man of Hope (2013).
