Plot

In a quiet Paris suburb, Dr. Cordelier isolates himself to delve into the mysteries of the human brain. His close friend, Maître Joly, grows worried when Cordelier drafts a will leaving his fortune to the enigmatic Monsieur Opale, a man with a history of violence against women and children. Joly struggles to grasp Cordelier's unwavering support for Opale. When a colleague is murdered, Joly confronts Cordelier, unveiling the dark and shocking reasons behind his friend’s troubling actions and the sinister experiment that binds them both.
