Plot

Cassie, a mystery woman, is inspired by her relationship with the charming Dr. Ben to search for her birth mother in a quaint town. She enlists the help of Victor Short, the diner owner and adopted son of the doctor involved in her adoption. However, her quest takes a dark turn when she discovers her mother and her husband, Mark McPhillips, are linked to a murder investigation. Meanwhile, an undercover agent's arrival at home prompts Cassie to seek unconventional assistance from his retired partner, Philby, leading to unexpected twists and revelations.
