Plot
Inspired by Matt Thorne's acclaimed novel, "Eight Minutes Idle" is a quirky urban comedy that explores the true meaning of having your life put 'on hold.' Dan Thomas has always chosen the easiest route in his career, personal life, and relationships. However, when he is thrown out of his family home, he has no choice but to secretly take up residence in the call centre where he works. Suddenly, the comforts he once took for granted—like a stocked fridge, clean clothes, friends, self-respect, and even his cherished cat—start to vanish or turn against him. As Dan's work/life equilibrium spirals out of control, he must confront his old ways and learn to genuinely care for someone other than himself.
