Plot
Returning home from the Civil War, Johnny Hamilton is haunted by his father's ghost, revealing the truth of his murder and urging him to seek vengeance. Upon arriving at the family ranch, Johnny discovers not only the shocking death of his father but also that his mother, Gertrude, has wed his uncle Claude, now the new owner of the estate. Suspicion looms over Polonius, a notorious bandit believed to be responsible for the murder. Yet, Johnny can't shake the feeling that Claude may have a darker role in this tragedy.
