Plot

Amid the backdrop of World War I London, Myra, an unemployed American chorus girl, struggles to survive by entertaining men on Waterloo Bridge. A chance encounter during a Zeppelin air raid introduces her to Roy, an innocent American enlisted in the Canadian army. Their romance blossoms, leading Roy to invite Myra to his family's countryside estate, where his mother is now married to a retired British Major. As Myra grapples with her feelings, she hesitates to deepen their relationship, concealing the truth of her past from Roy, who remains blissfully unaware.
