Plot

In "Better Things," Gail battles agoraphobia, isolating herself in her house while immersing in romance novels. She shares her home with her recently hospitalized Nan, and together they strive to mend their emotional estrangement. Meanwhile, Rob struggles with the heartache of his lost girlfriend, turning to drugs to numb his pain as her memory lingers in his dreams. Concurrently, Mr. and Mrs. Gladwin confront a pivotal moment in their six-decade marriage, weighed down by years of unspoken grievances. Mrs. Gladwin's subtle attempts to reconnect challenge the walls that have built up over the years.
