Plot

Eddy, a hapless criminal from Chicago, finds himself on the lam after swindling his boss. His escape to Mexico takes an unexpected detour when he picks up a charming hitchhiker. What starts as a brief fling leaves him battered and broke in Wynot, TX. When he witnesses a murder committed by the corrupt Sheriff Willet Nash, Eddy hatches a desperate plan to rob a bank. However, his scheme quickly unravels, landing him in hot water. His only hope for survival lies with Jeannie, his jilted fiancée, back in Chicago.
