Plot

Fledgling comedy writer Benjy Stone is thrilled when his childhood idol, the dashing movie star Alan Swann, is set to appear on the variety show he contributes to. However, reality shatters the glamour as Swann shows up as a drunken, womanizing mess plagued by stage fright. Tasked with keeping Swann in check before the live performance, Benjy faces the daunting challenge of preventing his once-beloved hero from spiraling out of control, all while navigating the chaotic world of showbiz and the pressures of his own career.
